A Message From Our Founder

Hi, I’m Kristen — founder of Canadian Wellness Box.

I’ve been an entrepreneur for nearly 30 years, and my businesses have looked very different over that time. More recently, as both a maker and retail store owner, I began to see a gap I couldn’t stop thinking about.

There are incredible Canadian makers and small businesses trying to reach new people, and Canadians genuinely wanting to discover and support them. But somehow, finding each other is still harder than it should be.

There are only so many markets a maker can attend, places they can travel and people they can reach. Meanwhile, somewhere across Canada could be a customer who would absolutely love what they’ve created — they simply haven’t found each other yet.

That’s the bridge I wanted Canadian Wellness Box to create.

We help Canadian products travel farther than the people who make them can. Customers get to experience products from businesses across the country, discover something they love and know exactly where to find that maker again.

And we wanted it to work for the maker, too. That’s why we don’t charge placement fees or take commissions from the businesses we feature. We’re not trying to stand between a maker and their next customer — we want to be the reason they found each other.

Every box has the possibility of creating one of those connections. A new favourite. A new customer. A Canadian business someone now knows by name.

We may be sending the box, but what we’re really hoping to deliver is the introduction.
